(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - "It is incumbent upon Egyptian scholars to support the revolution in this country,” said head of the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
“I expected Al-Azhar scholars announced their support from people and revolution in this country and give religious color to this movement, and this was the major duty of Islamic scholars in Islamic world” said the Head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.
Senior Cleric underscored,” The prophet of Islam (PBUH) said Islamic Scholar are the prophets’ heirs so it is incumbent upon Islamic scholar to return their dignity and stand against the dictatorship policy of Egyptian government. “
“We expected Al-Azhar scholars to attend in this movement and defend the Islamic values,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri underlined.
The Grand Ayatollah Pointed to some criticisms of Egyptian communities about the supreme leader’s remarks and suggestions to Egyptian people.
“Ayatollah Khamenei as an Islamic leader mentioned some points to foil the plots hatched by the Zionism and some western arrogant. That is a reason why I expected Al-Azhar scholars support these remarks and give the adequate values to this movement,” head of the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought mentioned.
Ayatollah Taskhiri underlined, “I never accept this remark that the supreme leader wanted to interfere in the internal issues of Egypt. Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks were not political and derived from his sense of responsibility to the process and direction of Islamic revolution in this county. “
The Grand Ayatollah went on, “So it is expected that Egyptian scholars endorse such remarks and disseminate them among people in this country.”
“It is the duty of each Muslims to support the Egyptian revolution and no negligence in this way is not accepted,” the Grand Ayatollah underlined.
It is worth mentioning that recently the world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought issued a statement on the ongoing uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt.
“Those [the oppressors] who deprive people from their own rights, are those who block implementing Islamic laws,” the announcement underscored.
The world Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought urged all the Al Azhar scholars, Islamic elites in Egypt and other Muslims to support this movement and its people to reach their aim.
